Ulice, univerzity, ale i prostory veřejné dopravy a konzumní trh v Istanbulu a dalších tureckých měst se plní projevy občanské neposlušnosti. Pod záštitou Republikánské lidové strany CHP a s podporou statitisiců lidí napříč generacemi a společenskými vrstvami propukly protesty, které mají nejen politický náboj, ale i podtón hlubší existenciální úzkosti ze stavu republiky.
